I was always a wicked sensitive kid. But I grew up in a time/place where those tender parts of me were not only discouraged, but also dangerous to have. So I learned to do what I call “suck it up + stuff it down” and abandon those parts of myself. My Inner Child ID card is a powerful and healing reminder to pay attention, listen to and give voice to those younger versions of myself that simply wanted safety, belonging and love. It’s a fun, playful and easy way to remember our innocence, practice kindness and extend love and compassion to our younger selves and the person we are now. No matter our age, there’s still a kid in us all. The Inner Child ID gives us license to release shame, return to wholeness, reclaim our joy and remember that all parts of us are
welcome here! xo

I got this for a friend who is going through a hard time right now and she absolutely loved it! She had a rough childhood and I wanted to remind her that taking care of her inner child, the one who experienced so much trauma, is really important!
